Pita Pit in town: GK 1, Delhi

Famous for fresh made-to-order pita sandwiches, Pita Pit, the healthy Canadian quick service chain, launched its flagship outlet in Delhi’s Greater Kailash Part I. You can choose from a wide range of fresh vegetables, grilled meats, premium spreads and cheeses, along with zesty sauces. You can opt for the health-conscious, yet indulgent, gourmet sandwich or the Pita Pit fork-style (salad). Adding to their wide range of sandwiches, their menu will also feature pita toasties, pita chips and new desserts. There will be an array of freshly pressed juices, green teas and coffees on offer.
The third in the chain of Pita Pit restaurants, the forty-seater (1,500 sq ft) restaurant has been designed keeping in mind the existing colors and the overall theme of ‘Fresh Thinking, Healthy Eating’. Retaining the vibrant Green and the chic grey salad counter from previous outlets, the designers have gone a step further to give the restaurant an Industrial cum Post-Modern look. From a carefully curated selection of books on the shelves to broadcasting key live events, from across the world, the restaurant provides a convenient spot to take a break from your hectic schedule.
The location also has a living wall – a vertical garden. This “wall” serves multiple purposes from absorbing ambient sound to cleaning the air. It also serves as an insulator in the winter and has a cooling effect in the summer – thereby saving energy. This live green element helps reduce stress not just for you, but also the Pita Pit employees.
