Probably one of India’s most famous national parks, Jim Corbett National Park, remains home to a species of flora and fauna. For each person, there’s a unique experience, as all search for the magnificent cat but end up sighting everything else
This was one of my most thrilling journeys. I had been invited to review Ford Endeavour. I had chosen Jim Corbett National Park as my destination and I met with a small tribe—Chunere at River Kosi there—along with a lot of small animals and exotic birds. The lure of course was the magnificent black and yellow striped tiger. But the pleasure lay in the verdant landscape.
Hit the road, the Ford way
One foot on the accelerator and the beast would roar and surge ahead. It took sometime to understand the power of the Ford. This was my first time driving a SUV and the excitement had built. It just flew over the bad patches and suddenly we were up in the winding hills leading us to Jim Corbett. The air had changed, it was cooler now, the crisp fragrance of sal trees made us stop for a cup of tea on a roadside stall. The mountain air was already beginning to make us feel at peace.
