In my travel bag: Asus Zenfone 2

Needed a mobile phone with a good camera and dual active SIM for my travels and did not have a huge budgetAsus Zenfone2

Words: Ambica Gulati

As usual, the biggest problems of my life are good pictures and good networks as I am constantly on the go. Next come colours and looks. Weight of is even more important. I like nice bright colours and a lightweight, easy-to-carry and fit-in-my pocket smartphones. I have been carrying my tablet recently but sometimes it becomes quite inconvenient. Like when I had gone to get my visa and they would not allow me to take the tablet in. I had climbed three floors and had to come down all that way to the cloak room. Then I went all the way up with a nervous heart wondering if all was good with my tablet.

This firmed up my decision to get a smartphone once again. I walked into one of those jazzy electronic stores. And there a shining gold and a glamourous red caught my attention. They are both my favourite colours. It said the newly launched Asus Zenfone 2. I had never tried Asus electronics before but there is always a first time and firsts are the most exciting moments.

So colour I had my choice, now the camera which I just needed desperately for all my travel shoots. This red and gold slim machine promised a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Looks like lady luck was on my side and all my requirements were being met. Moreover, ASUS PixelMaster’s Low Light Mode is able to produce the best pictures in low light environments. There was something I die for, as I am a budding photographer and I shoot everything under the sun, and then I want to show them all—so ASUS Photo Collage and Photo Effects were just what I needed to unleash my creative picture side.

That was a lot of wishes fulfilled but what about speed and space. My recent fetish has been to click photographs on the move, so I needed a good processor and lots of storage space. Asus Zenfone2 has Intel Atom Z3580/Z3560 64-bit Processor and is the only phone to have a 4GB RAM! No more looking around, I had the phone I needed.

I fiddled with it to check if the features were living up on the phone to the promise on the paper sheet before me. It was a cool, comfortable fit in my hand. Its unique Ergonomics Arc Design gives it the complete Zen feel.

So I have been clicking and connecting with my Asus Zenfone 2. For Rs 19,999 I got the sheer, shining gold, as I said lady luck was smiling on me. This reminds me I had better put the second Matrix SIM for international travels as with my work a Dual Active SIM is another boon.
