With the glitterati preferring something different to drink, The Orb at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi with its specially crafted cocktails can provide that change

Smoky trails and cherry eyes, Khopdi looked a little intimidating sitting on the table of this new bar. Fortunately, it wasn’t going to eat me up and I could pick the ceramic glass and take a sip of what was in it. And I liked it. Rum, palm sugar and chilli, Khopdi is a drink that you sip at leisure.
The centre is where the action is in the blue and white lit bar. There is ample seating area, so you can take your pick from the sink-in sofa or the high bar stools. There is live music too on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Conversations do flow easy here, despite the many rounds of drinks. The menu has classic drinks such as whisky, rum, vodka, and cocktails, wines, champagnes, shots, tequila, even mocktails.
But my eyes were only on the signature cocktails. Reflection was something different. Served with a mirror and with only a straw peeping out at you from behind, it is laced with bourbon and will appeal to those who like their cocktails a little bitter and strong.
Apple Cinnamon Punch is for the ones who like a little spice on their palate. Orb Mary is a twist with no explanation. And I did like the glasses these special drinks were served in.
The presentation is good, and there is a nice snacks menu to complement the drinks. We dug into dim sums, pizza slices, sliders, fried prawns and chicken. And that didn’t leave us space for the sushi platter.
But what my next trip to this new bar will be about: Three By Four which is a bunch of 12 shots with three types of spirits and I am certainly not driving in.
