Among the more essentials during a journey is a first aid kit. And the common useful medicines in this include a pain relief gel and eye drops.

Travelling is fun but to keep the fun going, one has to be ready for emergency too. And keeping a small first-aid kit in your luggage is important. You have to take care of minor things such as headaches, stomachaches, tiredness, fever, allergies and pain. Here instant pain relievers help. I normally do keep a Crocin, Dettol, Disprin, Saridon, and recently discovered DFO 4X gel and ITIS eye drops by Ozone.

While the pain reliever went without question in my bag, I kept wondering whether I should take the eye drops or not. What the heck! In they went, they might help in the night after constant walking or seeing things. It turned out to be a wise move.

All through September, I was roaming in different parts of Rajasthan. Being prone to migraines, I normally keep a scarf too in my handbag. The heat was strong in the day.

With almost 10 hours from Delhi to Jaisalmer, I had pain in my neck, shoulders and head. My eyes had dried up and I felt so exhausted that I couldn’t keep them open. The pain was travelling through my face too.

ITIS CompositeThe moment I reached the hotel room, first thing I did was apply the gel and put some eye drops to ease off and lay down. Within 30 minutes, the pain had come under control. I felt so much better. My eyes were refreshed and I could open them without feeling the pain. The gel being non-sticky, I even applied, like oil, in my hair on the spot where the pain was. I am back in Delhi but these two easy-to-carry medicines have found their way into my handbag now. They are useful anytime, anywhere. In fact, the eyedrops I use every few hours and they really help in keeping the eyes fresh and steady for all the digital work (which has a lot of harmful rays).
