From Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Kolkata, this Irish pub has now travelled to the capital with some really large community cocktails and black sliders
A bar to rock the best and the worst, stocked with domestic and international beers, The Irish House is all geared to woo the Delhi market at its outlet in Epicuria mall, Nehru Place. The pub offers signature Brit and Irish food such as fish and cips. We got a taste of sliders, nachos, chicken and veg skewers. Even though the pub was packed, the servers were patient and kept bringing in the plates for tasting. Be warned though: Better ask to see the size of the bowl for the community cocktails. It can make you kill yourself, if you and the party with you, are not in a mood for a really large sip! We tried The Irish Terminator which was terminated by 10 people.
If, like me, you haven’t been to Ireland, you can enjoy the whacky posters and the pictures on the wall outside. The interior is relaxing, yet fast-paced. The colour green can fill your time here, but there’s enough brown to keep you grounded. There is a projector to watch your favourite matches and more. There is outdoor seating too, which works for the winter sun and smokers.
This is the 16th outlet of the pub in the country, and two more are lined up in Noida and Connaught Place soon. What you will find here: expertly curated music and game nights, monthly rock band performances, weekly acoustic acts, match screenings, unconditional happy hours, Sunday brunches, weekday lunch deals, and activities.
