Where there is life, there is hope. Even in the midst of snowfall (2019), they set their colourful rack. Kashmir, paradise, that has been ravaged again and again, tirelessly carries on. Waiting for tourists to come and click their photographs in the beautiful traditional clothing... since childhood I have been seeing tourists rushing into these gowns for pictures. Till the 1990s, this paradise was a thriving tourist hub....
2019 was a hectic year. I travelled to India's lesser habited areas for a coffee table book. The landscape was amazing and I love to capture the natural world more. But the scanty infrastructure seemed to haunt me. The small railway station at Nandurbar in Maharashtra was probably the cleanest I have ever seen. It's got very less trains coming and going through with just 2 platforms. As we waited for our train, the orange rays touched everything around us transforming the station into a shimmering space. At that moment I realised, here I am in the middle of somewhere in #India, waiting for my dreams to sparkle into reality.
It was 2019. I was in Fort area, Mumbai, for work. Being a Delhiite, I find Mumbai fascinating with its no-interference environment. As I had just few hours in the evening free, I walked around with my camera and the setting sun near this heritage Flora Fountain brought the eclectic city alive. (Flora Fountain was built in 1864 and depicts the Roman goddess Flora)
Summer's around the corner and @shreetheindianavatar has launched it's new collection. Pocket-friendly kurtas and suits in cotton and rayon for all those who love flowery pastels. With 96 strores, the brand has a wide range for daily wear.
A springtime luncheon, courtesy @aaratithapa1 who is the founder of @weddingfables , showcased this homegrown brand dealing with furniture, homelinen, decor items, tableware and cutlery.
