There’s a lot more to coffee than just cappuccino. And you can discover it at Coffee Bond’s outlet in the plush M Block market in Greater Kailash I, Delhi.

Located on the first floor, it’s designed to make you feel that you are sitting out in a log cabin with mates. Warm wooden teak décor, three-legged stools which make you sit straight, and you could be somewhere between eras, lost in the warm cuppa.
Coffee beans are sourced from various parts of the world—Australia, Africa, UK, India, of course. The founders, Narendra and Anurag Shukla, spend a lot of time tasting, adding and subtracting. The brothers don’t believe in being just a café, they are ‘a coffee house’ where coffee has to be brewed right and roasters are given due importance. The love for coffee began as Narendra worked in Melbourne for almost a decade. Inspired by the coffee culture there, he wanted to replicate the experience in India. And the two brothers then began their experiment at Uday Park two years back. Their vision of making a harmonious community has been successful there and the idea is to replicate that in GKI. “The coffee culture is about socializing and making friends. I have also made some new ones in this journey,” says Anurag.
What you find on the menu: Hot and cold coffees, chocolates, smoothies and teas. And then there’s a section on training and equipment. So, the brothers would like you to drink, learn and make! That’s the ideal way of seeing coffee bonds spread. As for food, it’s healthy and well planned to match the various drinks on offer. There’s coffee with milk and without milk.
We tried the flat white which comes from Australia and that was nice—warm and a little strong. It is served with white and brown sugar. But we didn’t add any.
The pour over black coffee shot was mellow and light. The food was fresh and light. We enjoyed the avocado salad and the peas and hummus spread over fresh breads and served with quinoa.
There is free wi-fi. The pricing includes GST. There are going to be entertainment gigs. Jordan has performed there. Nothing remains stagnant with these young entrepreneurs and they are going to be constantly adding new coffee on the menu, for innovation is the key to success. And you can also take home coffee beans.
