Bringing together entrepreneurs and designers at Delhi’s largest convention centre in The Ashok hotel, the exhibition (curated by Indu Gupta, Saroj Bhatia, Jani Dhingra and Sarita Baluja) saw an eclectic mix of shoppers. There were multimedia artworks by artist Kanchan Chander and even handcrafted madhubani paintings by Bagesh Kumar from Bihar. A new brand Yumi unveiled its Kota saris. Likewise, many indigenous brands had come from Dubai, Dehra Dun, Mumbai, Kolkata and even Varanasi. India’s leading couturiers, Madhu Jain, Sonam Dubal, Samant Chauhan, Rina Dhaka and Charu Parashar and Yasmin Kidwai showed their collections at a special designer lounge at the exhibition, conceptualised by BornofWeb’s Karan Bhardwaj. Also present at the exhibition were activist and community service worker Mohini Giri and Aruna Dalmia, Abha Dalmia, Piya Bajwa and Saif Habibullah.
