Exhibitions are a good way to know a country and carry back some souvenirs. With the festive season picking pace pan-India, entrepreneur Ramola Bachchan curated the 5th edition of home decor and lifestyle exhibition, HouseFull. In a candid chat, she reveals why she keeps organising exhibitions:
You have become synonymous with some luxury properties such as Runaway Project and HouseFull. What got you into organising exhibitions?
When I came back from London, around six years ago, I realised that we have so many young entrepreneurs. They make such good products and all they need is a platform. We did wedding exhibitions and as everyone likes beautiful homes, we ventured into home decor.
People would be approaching you all the time for participating. What is the criteria for being a part of the exhibition?
Good work and some unique stuff. Indians have some really creative things.
Do you think these exhibitions could become trendsetters?
Interior is the new fashion. And more creative work is always trendy. We will keep working with good entrepreneurs.
At Housefull, there were over 60 stalls, offering everything from soaps, perfumes, furniture, artworks and more. From a few thousands to a few lakhs, something for every home.
